Road Construction Notice:

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface State Route 85 (Mtn. View Hwy.) in Salt Lake County from Old Bingham Hwy. to 13400 S, including the intersections from 6200 to 9000 S. The project objectives are aimed to preserving the life of the roadway by increasing the longevity of the road surface, address roadway deficiencies, and enhance pedestrian/motorist safety.

Construction Impacts

Early daytime miscellaneous work will begin at the intersections upgrading pedestrian ramps and signal lighting sensors. 

By June 18, nighttime paving operations will begin at the intersections starting at 6200 S. Travel lane closures will be required from 8pm to 5am nightly. By early July, these paving operations will shift to the North and South travel lanes of Mtn. View Corridor. Motorist should expect light delays from 5-10 minutes at times. All lanes will remain open on weekends and holidays. Be cautious and slow down near construction barrels and cones. Speeds reductions will be enforced in work zones. Active transportation groups (i.e., bicyclists, pedestrians) will be accommodated with detours posted.
