Parking Enforcement FAQ

Can I park on the road when it's snowing? 

Herriman City ordinance prohibits parking on the side of the street with odd addressing when it is snowing or there is snow on the street between November 1 - April 1. (City code §6-5-5A)

Can I park my vehicle for more than 24 hours? 

Herriman City ordinance prohibits the parking of vehicles on the public street for more than 24 hours at a time. There is no parking allowed for campers, RVs, nor trailers unless they are being actively loaded or unloaded for no longer than 12 hours.

Can vehicles block driveways?

Parking a vehicle that either blocks or is within five feet of a drive way is prohibited. (City code §6-5-1)

Can I park in front of a mailbox or fire hydrant?

Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or within 10 feet of a mailbox is prohibited. (City code §6-5-1)

Can I park my vehicle opposite of traffic flow?

No vehicle can be parked in a way that it faces opposite of the flow of traffic. (City code §6-5-1)
