Hello,
First a question, are the tennis courts on Mirabella the only public tennis courts in the city? These two courts are always occupied and I would like to request the city invests more in tennis and pickleball courts throughout the city. These sports are increasing in popularity and the courts would be used often. There are leagues that would also rent hem from the city. Currently the Utah Youth Tennis teams for Herriman are renting courts 20 minutes away for our teams to play. This is due in part to the local high schools not being willing to share their facilities. Adding more courts to our current parks would also decrease water usage in these parks and other lawn maintenance costs. Not only for tennis but also basketball. Our city is growing and while young now installing these facilities will encourage lifelong healthy lifestyle habits in our populations. Thank you for considering adding these facilities to our parks and providing a space within our own city to build a healthy lifestyle and grow family bonds.
