Arenas
Outdoor riding arenas provide equestrians with a spacious and well-maintained environment to exercise their horses, practice riding skills, and enjoy the outdoors. These arenas are typically designed with high-quality footing to ensure proper traction and minimize dust, creating a safe and comfortable experience for both horse and rider. Fencing surrounds the area to provide security, while ample space allows for a variety of riding disciplines, from general horsemanship to barrel racing and jumping.
Open ride access allows riders to use the facility on a first-come, first-served basis, providing flexibility for training and recreation. Butterfield Park arenas have posted schedules below to accommodate organized events or maintenance periods. Riders are encouraged to follow basic arena etiquette, such as yielding to others, cleaning up after their horses, and being mindful of shared space. Whether for casual riding or disciplined training, open ride arenas offer a valuable resource for the equestrian community.
The Rosecrest Arena (Ride-to arena) is strictly a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation capabilities.
Riders may use arenas that are available for Open Ride dependent on event activity. Open Ride schedules are posted below. Please note, we do not rent horses, nor do we offer riding lessons.
The arenas are groomed every Monday and Thursday, April through September dependent on weather.
